Posing for some pics with Kauffman stadium in the background!
Our seats were up pretty high in the nosebleed section. Here Maya is trying out the fan sprayer. Wonder if the people behind her liked that?!

It was buck night too and so we all got hot dogs which always taste good at a ball game. We also go the kids these snow cones to help them cool off.
Here is the view from our seats! See how high we were? We didn't stay there long....it was actually kind of scary. We did need to redeem our vouchers for the Outfield Experience by the 4th inning so we headed that way after only about 20 minutes in our seats.
The Outfield Exprience was pretty cool for the kids. There was a carousel (M & N love them!) so we took a turn on that. They also had a playground and a water fountain area for kids to run through.
Another experience available was this baseball experience for the kids. The line was pretty long (we probably waited 30-45 minutes?) but Nolan was so excited and it was worth the wait. Each kid got 5 balls pitched to them by one of the men who worked at Kauffman. Darin gave Nolan no guidance at all and just let him do his thing! The white circle in the background is where he "warmed up" with his bat and when it was his turn, he hit 3 of the 5 balls pitched to him! Not bad for a 4-year-old! After that, he got to run the bases. He was so excited!!!

Maya was his biggest fan (and most patient fan too!) and was very happy for him that he did so well. I love that my kids get so excited for each other's successes.
The kids took a great nap earlier that afternoon, and so they made it all the way through the game and even stayed up for the fireworks afterwards! It was their first experience up close seeing fireworks and they loved it! We got home around 11pm and the kids crashed in the car on the ride home. What a night! The Royals did beat the Tigers 1-0. :)

What a fun night at the K! You are braver than I, I don't know if I would have wanted to brave that heat!
