Park playdate #2

My friend Linsey has started a weekly summer playdates this summer. Each Friday we meet in a new place and the kids run around and have a blast! The first playdate was in June and we met at the Overland Park Arboretum. It was warm and humid, but the kids had a great time.

There was a bridge over some rocks that Maya loved standing on. Here are Maya, Nolan, and Linsey's son Cole on that bridge. It's tough to get 3 toddlers to do anything at the same time and this was the best picture I could get!

Cole and Maya hit it off though, and gave each other a high 5 like they were old pros at it.

The park also had these little wooden chairs that were a perfect size for Maya and Nolan. They loved sitting in them and I had to coax them over to eat lunch with the other kids on some other logs.

Nolan's face always gets really red when it's hot and humid out.

At lunch Nolan decided that he wanted to feed himself applesauce for the first time. He made quite a mess, but I was glad he wanted to try it. Now I can't keep him away from spoons!

The next playdate I could go to was Wonderscope Children's museum, but I forgot my camera! The kids had a BLAST! We'll definitely go back there again soon now that they are old enough to enjoy it.

  1. Nolan & Janae have the same heat induced affliction! :) Poor kids! I'm sure they'll just LOVE that when they get older. :)
