With summer upon us, we have had so much fun going to the park with our friends and family. The easiest was to post is to do each one individually so here is the first of 3 posts about our park dates. First we went to Deanna Rose Farmstead with Terrilyn and Ethan. It was so much fun to walk around the park with the kids and Ethan was very patient to go through the park at Maya and Nolan's speed instead of his speed.
Nolan wanted to ride on every animal in this play area for about 3 seconds. Almost as soon as he got on, it was time to try the next one to see if it was different. Terrilyn was a trooper and helped him get on and off each of the animals, as well as make the sound effects for them.
Next we tried the tractors. Neither Maya's nor Nolan's feet could reach the pedals, but they took turns being pushed around by Ethan, Terrilyn, me, or each other. Here is Nolan taking his ride.
Here is Maya taking a spin. She wanted to go around the track again and again with me pushing her. Both kids are under the impression that if you turn the wheel really fast back and forth you are officially "driving" it. This is true of the plastic coup in our living room, the grocery store car attached to the cart, and these tractors.
And their favorite game, Nolan pushing Maya. What a workhorse he is! Sometimes he's a bully, but many times he makes her day!
Lastly we went to the playground. Maya wanted to hang out with me and play with the mulch.
Nolan chose to venture out with Terrilyn and Ethan across the jungle gym and to a special look out area. Then they helped him go down the slide which he does on his belly. This works out really well unless the slide it HOT from the sun! Luckily this slide was shaded.

What a great time we had at Deanna Rose! Thanks for going with us, Terrilyn and Ethan!

Looks like SO much fun! I think Terrilyn might be vying for "favorite aunt" position. I might have to kick it up a couple notches to be able to compete! ;-)
