Worms!

Last year for his birthday, Nolan got a worm farm.  With the cold temps, the move, being in an apartment and moving again, we finally got a chance to get some worms and get it started!

 We have had some warm days this fall and they were just perfect for digging for worms in the backyard.  But first he and Daddy had to get the dirt ready.

There were layers of dirt and colored sand to help the worms move around.  

Then Nolan carefully placed his worm buddies in their new home.  

 After that we put some water, food scraps, and other organic matter in for the worms to eat!  There were special instructions to keep them in a dark place, and check on them now and then.

So excited for his worm farm--finally!!
