Christmas!

This was the first Christmas in our new house and the first Christmas Eve Bob and Gayla hosted.  A year of firsts!

Maya and Nolan each got a flying object in their stocking from Gramma and Grampa.  Maya got this flutterbye Tinkerbell
And Nolan got this flying globe.  They both had so much fun playing with them!  If you put your hand underneath you can keep the object flying!
Goofballs.  Gramma and Grampa had gotten these hats/ears/headbands for us to wear to keep it festive.

I just love these sweet kids!  They had so much fun Christmas Eve...they had been looking forward to this for so long!
Maya's favorite gift--an American Girl Doll from Gramma and Grampa!  She asked Santa for one and was so excited to get one.  She has names her Lucy.   I didn't get a picture of Nolan but he got some PS3 controllers and a sports game from Gramma and Grampa.
Presents!

For the first time, the grownups did a special gift exchange that included some gag gifts.  Darin got this beauty in the exchange.
Gramma, Grampa and the grandkids!  Sydney (15), Ethan (10), Maya and Nolan (5--almost 6!)
A wonderful Christmas Eve with Gramma and Grampa.

Once we got home from the Christmas Eve festivities it was time to set out Santa's cookies and milk and the reindeer's carrots!  Then we read Twas the Night Before Christmas and went to bed!

Christmas morning the kids slept in until 8am (they didn't get to bed until 10pm!) but they were excited to go downstairs to open their stockings.

A necklace..
A whoopie cushion...

Watching Dad open up his present from them...some cups for his espresso machine.

Sharing the love and thanks for the presents.  Maya got Nolan a gun that shoots balls and Nolan got Maya an Elsa necklace.
Opening up a wood workers kit from Nonnie and Papa.
I love this picture of our family on Christmas Eve.
Christmas day the Dills and Grandad came over for lunch and presents. What a special time to be surrounded by family and celebrating our blessings!
