Strawberry Picking!

 For the second year now, we have gone to a strawberry patch near Lawrence to pick our own strawberries!  This year we went on our anniversary, June 2nd.  It was a cold morning!  It is a lot of fun and the strawberries are so fresh and delicious.  This year due to the cold spring, the berries weren't as sweet but they were still worth the trip.

Of course with all those berries, we had to do something special!  I made this strawberry freezer jam which I made last year and am in LOVE with, a strawberry-rhubarb pie, strawberry topping for our feather pancakes with whipped cream, a strawberry/bacon/onion and balsamic pizza, and then we ate quite a bit of fresh strawberries as well.  They are all gone now and the fond memories remain!
