T-Ball!

Nolan has been asking to play baseball for quite awhile now, and he is thrilled to be doing T-Ball this summer!  The season isn't quite 2 months so it's a good length for young kids.  His comments about it are so cute.  "Momma, I would like to play t-ball all summer long."  You betcha, big guy!

The kids started out having "practice" on Thursdays for about 45 minutes.  As some people say, 4-year-old t-ball is like herding cats.  I think the coaches spend as much time saying, "Take  your glove off your head" as much as they say, "Hold your glove up."  Ah, 4-year-olds.  Now they just meet a few minutes before each game to practice.

Nolan got on a team with some buddies from preschool.  Here is Gracie giving him a hug during practice. Five of the 11 kids in his class are on his team (including girls).  Maya has absolutely no desire to play but enjoys playing with the older sisters on the sidelines.

Here he is before his first game!  My big boy!
Dontcha just love this pose?  Glove on the head, hip jutted out...modeling the name on the back of his shirt.  :)

Ready to hit a homerun!
Saw-wing batta!

And here is the cheerleading section.  Brian and Ethan stopped by since Ethan had baseball practice nearby! And of course Gramma and Grampa are loyal fans!

It is fun to see Nolan get excited about his first "organized" sport.  I'm sure this is just the beginning for us!
