Horseback riding

Gwyn and I saw a Groupon last fall for a horseback riding session and we thought, "Why not?"  We both love horses and horseback riding and knew it would be fun to do together.  After some rescheduling due to weather, we finally got a chance to go in May.  

 Before we went out, the ranch owner gave us some pointers about how to communicate with our horses and give her/him commands. Here I am on my horse, Randi Sue.  She was a sweetheart and did just what I asked.  

Here is Gwyn on her horse, Sam.  He is a stallion and was a show horse, I think.

I tried to get some pictures on the trail, but horses are not exactly a smooth ride and my pictures were a bit blurry.  If I stopped Randi Sue, everyone had to stop and wait for me, so I felt back stopping too many times.  

 I did get this shot of Gwyn at the end while her horse had a snack.

It was a fun ride and a neat experience!
