We have had an active November so I thought I'd throw all the activities into one post. One new thing we did a week ago was go bowling with our friends Cole and Max! Maya and Nolan had never been before and it was a fun new adventure.
Silly Maya getting ready for her turn.
Nolan actually did really well bowling. I think he bowled an 85! Here he is after he got his first spare!
The kids were all hungry so we took a break and had some snacks too. We sure had a fun afternoon with our friends!
Nolan and Darin also got a chance to go to a K-State football game. It was Nolan's first game! He was really excited about it and I'm glad the two boys got a chance to go together. I hope this is the first of many games to come!
Maya and I had a girls day while the boys were gone. We ran errands, played Barbies and had fun. Maya set up her Rapunzel doll in the window and told me to come and take a picture of Rapunzel and Piper waiting for the boys to come home.
Our October Glory maple was so pretty this year. First it turned purple, then this red-orange color.
The other trees dropped their leaves earlier so the kids had fun with Daddy raking leaf piles, jumping in them, and then putting them into the yard waste barrels.
When I've got such willing and photogenic children, it's hard not to post all their cute smiles!
My favorite one of Maya is this one.
This was just before Nolan got a haircut. He likes his hair long now!
One new activity the kids are loving is playing "puppet show". They lay this blanket at the bottom of Maya's bed and the puppet-master sits behind the blanket while the viewers watch from the bed. They retell books, copy Mom and Dad's shows, and sometimes make their own. Nolan's tend to be very violent (lots of wrestling and punching of the characters) and Maya's tend to be very gentle and sweet...it is funny to see what they create. Both think the other's shows are pretty funny. :)
