A few days before Thanksgiving, we celebrated Grandad's 88th birthday.
We improvised with the candles. :) Next year will be easier. Of course, we had porcupine meatballs, our family favorite, and angel food cake with Gran's special glaze.
For Thanksgiving, we had a smaller family gathering this year. Most of you know by now that Gramma Gayla had a health scare earlier this month and underwent brain surgery. Since she was still in the rehab hospital at Thanksgiving, we had a smaller gathering with just the 5 of us instead of going to Bob and Gayla's house. Darin got to visit her on Thanksgiving day and we are so thankful to see her make positive gains every time we see her.
Silly pose!
After carving the turkey, Darin found the wishbone! We called the kids down and explained how it works and they were really excited.
Look at that serious wish-making!
Winner!
Loser.
Better luck next time buddy!
