Easter 2013

Easter morning!!  The kids woke up and we got them dressed and ready for their Easter baskets (minus Nolan's shirt in case he got chocolate on it!)
They were super excited about their Easter baskets.  Along with some chocolate, they each got some small toys and a box of Legos!
You'll notice in these pictures that Nolan has a big bruise on his forehead...he has a collision with a table about a week before this and it was still healing.  Poor guy.

The Easter bunny hid eggs for the kids this year at our house!
They had a lot of fun hunting for eggs from the Easter bunny.  We had a few "practice" egg hunts before this with empty eggs and also eggs with 1 M&M inside them.  On Easter each egg had a Hershey's kiss inside which was way more exciting!
This picture cracks me up.  The kids were looking and looking for 1 more egg in the kitchen.  Despite our hints, it took quite a bit of looking to find this one...see it tucked in under the cabinet drawer?
 Eureka!

After breakfast we made our annual journey to Nana's house for our family Easter celebration!  The Easter bunny at Nana's house fills her eggs with dollar bills!  After the hunt the kids get together and take all the dollars out...each kid gets $10!
I didn't do a very good job this year of getting pictures of the kids together.  I didn't have my camera handy during the group picture, but I'll add it in if someone sends me one.  Here is Asher and my little ones.  Asher is finishing up his Freshman year at K-State!
After some yummy food and delicious desserts, the kids opened some Easter  presents.  It was such a beautiful day and we then spent quite a bit of time outside kicking around some soccer balls, tossing the frisbee, and playing with these new pop ball toys.
Here you can see the adults chatting while Gramma and Maya play with these wind blower thingies.  The last few years, this has been our typical Easter...eating, chatting, and then relaxing and playing outside for a couple of hours in the beautiful weather.  After I took this picture, I put down my camera and joined in the festivities for the afternoon, so my pictures came to an end.  We had a wonderful Easter, as usual, and were so happy to be able to get together with Darin's extended family, who we love so much!  Thank you again to Nana, who hosted a beautiful Easter for us!
