Spring sillies

We have had such a silly spring!  A few weeks ago, I got a pedicure with pink nailpolish.  When Maya saw it, she said she wanted one too!  Instead of a pink pedi, I thought it would be easier to give her pink fingernails!!  She loved it!

And when Nolan heard what we were doing, he wanted his nails painted too!! He chose a more manly red color, of course.  Silly, yes, but I think he looks adorable!
He also surprised me the other day by eating this gigantic piece of watermelon.  A small piece just wouldn't cut it this time!!  Summer is here....bring on the watermelon!

We have had some warm weather lately so Darin and I decided to pull out this silly water wiggler we got for the kids.  Suits on---we're ready for action!
Unfortunately, the kids did not like the craziness of the water wiggler...just too unpredictable.  So Daddy showed them how to hold the little hoses and spray them where they wanted!
 Now THIS is fun!!!

 Time to aim at Daddy!!
 My Noley man.

Right after this, the water wiggle sprang a pretty bad leak.  I suppose that's what you get for $8 at Walgreens.
We have this really beautiful lilac tree that grows right outside the kitchen window.  This year, instead of trimming it to keep it away from the house, Darin let it grow.  It became completely covered in lilac flowers. The smell was amazing!! It also attracted lots of Monarch butterflies.  Beautiful!!

Another silly thing we have started this spring is the game "grocery store."  Daddy invented it, of course.  He wanted to play with the kids but I think he was tired and wanted to lay down.  So he told the kids to go shopping and then make a line so he could check them out  He "rings" them up and then asks them if they want to pay with cash or credit card.  If it's cash, he always gives them their change back!
Sometimes the customers try to run away without paying and Daddy has to take them to jail!  But not this time!

 Ahhh.  Another satsified customer.

  1. You have been having such a fun spring! LOVE those nails Nolan! That's a great grocery store game, I may have to do that some afternoon while I'm needing a rest :) Your lilac bush looked beautiful, wish I could smell it, yum. Great pics of the kids with the water!
