That night I took a picture of the deck furniture. We still got about 2 more inches after this picture. In total we got 13.5" of snow from this storm.
A few days later we watched Lana and Janae while Gwyn and Kevin had an overnight date to celebrate their 10th anniversary! We started by having some snow playtime. Lana pulled Nolan around in the sled a bit.
Lana and Janae made a slide out of this huge pile of snow from all the driveway shoveling we have had to do this winter!
Lana made a snow angel!
Lana and Nolan rode the sled together while Darin pulled them around.
Janae snacked on a big snowball. COLD!
Later we had movie and pizza night! I set up a picnic area for the kids with a huge quilt on the floor, but they insisted on moving the kiddie table over to eat on while they watched Despicable Me. We got everything all set up while Darin went out and picked up the pizza.
Pizza time!! Yummy!
The next day after the girls left, Darin took the kids outside for some more playtime in the snow. I decided to stay inside where it was warm. :) While I watched from the window, Darin made our very 1st family snowman! I quickly grabbed 2 grapes, a carrot and a hat to help complete the ensemble. The snow was starting to melt to he is sort of "leafy", but I think he looks great! Now every time we leave the house, one of the kids says, "Bye snowman!" as we drive away.

OH MY GOODNESS! That is SO much snow! I can hardly believe it! They must have loved that. So many fun things to do outside in the snow, good thing they have all the right gear to play outside, you certainly need it this year!
ReplyDeleteFun adventures with the cousins! I love the leafy snowman too. :) I loved reading about all their 2-year milestones. You'll be glad you wrote that. It's amazing how quickly you forget things that you think you'll never forget.
