Maya's friend

When Maya goes to sleep, she loves to sleep with her soft bear blanket that Papa and Nonnie got for her. When I put her in her crib, she just looks at me with a blank stare until I give her the bear blanket. Then she lights up in a huge smile, grabs it in her arms, and wrestles around with it. Darin and I always go in and check on her to make sure she's OK. Yesterday, Darin came out and said, "Maya and her bear were wrestling again. Maya is conked out with her arms up over her head...I guess the bear won." Hee Hee! While she sleeps, usually some part of the bear ends up in her mouth and it's completely covered in drool, but she just loves it! She rarely takes a pacifier anymore...she'd rather suck on her bear's nose or ribbon. I remember my niece, Lana, had a bear whose ribbon she would suck on and it is so cute to see my little girl doing the same.
Here she is sleeping with her bear friend wrapped in her arms. So cute!

  1. That is SO adorable! I love that last picture of her snuggled with the bear. You'd better buy a few extra of these in case you lose this special bear! :)

  2. Hee Hee! She takes after her cousin! LOVE the pictures & the story. i remember we were 30 minutes on the road home late one night from Junction City and we realized we left the bear there... made our 2 hour drive 3 hours long! Didn't make that mistake twice!
