Nolan is sitting up! He has been sitting on his own all week and is so proud of himself. It is amazing...Maya has been doing the "tripod" for a few weeks, but Nolan would have nothing to do with it! He would get stiff as a board when I would try and get him to sit because he wanted to STAND. Well, I guess his stubbornness wore off and he figured out that the world is a great place when you can sit and play without assistance! I love that he knows how to do this too, because now we have more play options. Here he is after his afternoon nap playing with his toys!
On a side note, I tried to record him sitting up like this a couple of days ago with the camcorder, and while recording he fell forward, wacked his head on the wall pretty hard, and started screaming. Guess I need to scoot him further away from the wall next time. Duh. I'm sure my "Mother of the Year" award is being polished as we speak...
Yay!!! That is a big milestone, and it does make it a lot easier to play independently... Congrats!

What a big boy! So cute! Makes it easier on mom too! Now he can sit in the grocery cart at the store (or Costco where they have double seats in the carts;)
ReplyDeleteGreat job Nolan, yea! What a big boy you are! That is such a funny story about you taping him and he falling over...don't worry, we've all been there. Luckily they don't remember our litte mistakes :)
