For the past 5 days, Maya and Nolan have been eating their first solid food--rice cereal. It is so fun to feed them right now. I already know I'm going to have to get used to messes!!! They both are sticking their hands in their mouths between bites and then smacking the tray, their legs, etc. Yikes. All you new moms out there....remember how that rice cereal makes a glue-like paste when it dries?
On day 1, neither one was really a fan of the cereal. They both pretty much spit out most of it. Today at day 5, Nolan is gobbling it up by the spoonful (even grabbing for my arm, the spoon, and the bowl while opening wide). Maya is still not a big fan, making funny faces and spitting out most of it. She'll get the hang of it eventually! Here are the pictures from today of their cereal feeding this morning. How
could my kids possibly be any cuter?
Here is a picture of my good eater, Nolan. See the mess he makes? We may have to start bath time in the mornings instead of at night! I couldn't stop laughing at him. Good thing we have Pergo floors...
Here is my "Little Wildcat" Maya. She's got the face of an angel, even as she spits out her food and it runs down her chin. I had to put a towel on her lap because my bibs with the pocket (to catch the food) are dirty! Guess it's time to shop for more of those.

ahh, I remember those days! What fun. Unfortunately they just get messier and messier. They sure are cute with their matching bibs!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! So cute! Yeah, I agree with Jess... it does get messier and messier! Some of those fruits and food can easily stain so keep the stain stick handy! ;)
