On Darin's birthday weekend, we had some of our best friends come for a quick visit. One of the activities we did with them was an Easter Egg hunt (and other fun activities) at the Church of the Resurrection.
The kids had to hunt through tons of eggs looking for seven eggs that spelled J-E-S-U-S is Alive. It was fun for them to figure out the spelling and have the patience to search through loads of eggs for the 7 that they needed to finish.
Inside each egg was a little treat/sticker/eraser which of course was so much fun for them.
Here are all 5 of the kids after the hunt...Maya, Cooper, Jackson, Claire, and Nolan.
There was also this big police dog guy. I'm not exactly sure what he is from, but Maya thought he was pretty neat. Nolan was a little too shy to meet him.
My sweeties!
Another activity was decorating (and eating!) cookies. Yum yum!!
They also had inflatables outside which the kids had a blast playing on. It was such a nice morning!
The weekend after that we decorated Easter eggs together. We hard boiled some and blew the eggs out of some this year.
Putting stickers on her favorite pink egg...
Making a tie-dye egg with Daddy.
Nolan's favorite egg---it was wrapped in this little plastic sleeve which melted on after we used the blow dryer on it. It was kind of funny.
And Maya picked out her favorite egg too. Another one with a sleeve!
Just for kicks, I decided to include this picture of Gwyn and I when we were younger. My Gran made these dresses for us and Gwyn and I were about 2 and 4 in this picture, sitting on my grandparents couch. Thought it might be interesting to compare photos of me and Maya.
