For my birthday this year, the kids and I spent the day together having fun. It's always a blessing to spend my birthday with my beautiful kids! For dinner we hit Waldo Pizza and then got some cupcakes at Small Cakes.
I had a few gifts to open and had already spent a girls day with Gwyn shopping the weekend before. For Darin's birthday, the Snells were in town! I made baked ziti and angel food cake with a lemon glaze. Later that weekend I made Darin his birthday dessert request...rhubarb pie!
But Darin and I also had the opportunity to spend some time together, just the two of us, on a beautiful Kansas City Day. We went to a delicious bakery in the Library District called Sasha's Bakery for some coffee and a pastry. Then we went to the Liberty Memorial and toured the WWI museum.
After the museum (which was wonderful), we went to the top of the Liberty Memorial tower and I caught this photo of Union Station and the KC downtown skyline.
What a wonderful day we had together to celebrate our birthdays. In between house hunting, we have managed to squeeze in some relaxing moments this month. :)
