Catching up...

In March, we had some adventures that I am just now blogging about!  Here are some of our fun memories.

The kids love riding in the bike trailer while Daddy pulls them to Pirate Ship Park.  We had a nice day in mid-March and they took advantage of it!
Over spring break, the kids and I had so much fun.  On this day, we went to Union Station with some friends to Science City.  Then we grabbed some lunch and saw a movie on the solar system. (Or rather Nolan and I watched the movie while Maya snoozed from exhaustion.)
At the beginning of March the kids celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday at school.  I finally got to dress them in these Thing 1 and Thing 2 shirts that have been hanging out in our closet since they were babies!  Hand-me-downs from someone and I just found them!
It was a Friday so that night we had movie and pizza night as a family at home.  Fun times!
The kids have been cleaning their rooms a lot lately and one day after I helped Nolan make his bed, I told him to put his animals on top of the covers.  It was a school day and we were rushing out the door when I spotted this...he put his dinosaur (Blue) on top of his doggie.  It cracked me up!
At the end of March, we went with the Dills to see Disney on Ice again!  I forgot my camera so only had my iphone to snap some blurry photos.
The kids had a blast and are already excited for next year!  Incidentally, on this night, we got an accepted an offer to sell our house of 11 years.  The final call came during the show! We had 5 written offers, so our realtor sorted through and found the best one for us.  Lots of bidding wars!

Gwyn took our picture after the concert.
Of course we had to do a silly one for Nolan!

Also with the nicer weather came more outdoor play time.  Maya got a cute baby carrier that attaches to her bike for Christmas.  We had hoped it would encourage her to ride her bike more and it is working!  She hauls her La La Loopsie doll around on her rides now.
The kids also got these cool Y Bike scooters for their 5th birthday from Papa and Nonnie.  Maya is still tentative on hers but still gives it a try many days.
Nolan fell in love instantly with his and they are inseparable.
To turn, you have to lean the bike, and to brake you have to use your back foot.  It's pretty cool to see him ride it so fast with such confidence!
We have been doing lots of spring cleaning around here too, along with some packing.  The kids were great help with cleaning--they like to help me dust and both kids vacuumed their rooms last week.  I could get used to this!
Also in March, I drove Grandad to a 90th birthday party for his brother Harold in Topeka.  It was nice to catch up with our extended family and see how everyone is doing.  I think the brothers had a good time seeing each other as well.
My silly kids!  Before bed one day, they got out lots of dress up clothes and had fun.  Nolan is wearing a bag on his head.  Such fun we had in March!
