Cousin sleepover!

In August we had the Dill cousin's over for a sleepover!  It is neat to see them interact and play with each other.  Mostly, Nolan and Lana play together and Janae and Maya play together.  At times, Maya and Janae disappear into a room somewhere and we won't see or hear from them for quite awhile!  They love to play tea party, dolls, dress up, make believe, or any number of quiet girly activities.  Nolan and Lana seem to play well together because they like to play board games, hide and seek, and sometimes other rowdy games.  Lana is also into video games and science which Nolan loves as well.  Hopefully they will continue to find common ground in the years to come!

One of our first activities was to frost some sugar cookies that I had baked up with the kids in mind.
Each kid had their choice of frosting color.  Lana chose red, Nolan chose blue, Janae chose purple and Maya chose pink!
Lots of sprinkles, jimmies, and candies were used!
 Sweetie-pie Janae!
 Creative cat Lana!
 Silly boy Nolan!
 Giggly girl Maya!
The kids had a blast decorating and it was the perfect end to our pizza dinner.
Then it was movie time!  They agreed on Megamind which my kids hadn't seen but was a favorite of Lana and Janae's.  It was pretty funny and kept all of us laughing.
At bedtime, Maya and Janae slept in Maya's bed together...besties!
And after starting in the guest bed, Lana decided that she would rather sleep in Nolan's bed with him.  Awwww!
For breakfast, we had scrambled eggs and pancakes with M&M's and chocolate chips.  A hit!
The kids had so much fun together and it makes me realize what a fun adventure it is to have both the Dill and the Schmanke cousins over for sleepovers now that Maya and Nolan are old enough!
