Gramma and Grampa 1

For the third summer in a row, I have taught summer school for 5 weeks in June/July.  Bob and Gayla (aka Gramma and Grampa) have graciously agreed to watch the kids while I am teaching and the kids just have a blast on these "Gramma/Grampa days."
I thought I'd start off with this picture of the kids being silly with their afternoon snacks.  Both kids have really (finally!) started enjoying playing with water this summer.  Sprinklers, pools, water balloons...they get very excited about it all.  Gramma and Grampa took them swimming in the backyard pool/sprinklers a couple of times and also to their community pool in their neighborhood.

One of the very creative and special Gramma/Grampa activities of the summer was this zip line Bob built in the living room using Piper's 10' leash.  He used bracelets and attached Maya and Nolan's toys to them and had them zip down the line!  So funny!  The kids got a huge kick out of it and played with it for hours.  Nolan's toy of choice was one of his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
 Whoosh!
Maya's toy of choice was her wonder woman.

What a wonderful game!
