Luminary Walk

We have had a fun holiday season so far and I have a lot to catch up on with my blog.  First, we went to the Overland Park Arboretum to the Luminary Walk for the first time this year.  We met our friends Linsey, Craig, Cole and Max there and did the walk with them.

My camera was acting up a bit but here is a blurry shot of our family on the walk.  Next time we will bring our stroller for little Maya who begged to ride in our friends' stroller almost the whole time!

The luminary walk was so beautiful.  It was a lit walkway throughout the arboretum and it was amazing to see how many candles there really were.  So peaceful on this special time of year.  The little ones enjoyed running down the paths, listening to the musicians along the way...
And toward the end we even stopped for hot cider.  Yum!  It was quite a cold night and we needed it to warm us up!  Here is the whole gang...Nolan in front, Darin in the black jacket, Linsey and Cole in the middle and Craig pushing Max and Maya in the stroller!
Toward the end of the walk they had this large gingerbread house that the kids enjoyed looking at.
And of course SANTA was there!  I love this picture because Maya jumped onto his lap and immediately started telling  him about the princess on a pony that she wanted for Christmas.
Nolan told Santa that he wanted Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  I do believe Santa can make that happen!
The kids also enjoyed playing with these gel clings that I found at Target.  There was this Santa, some reindeer and some other little things.  They came in handy when I needed a few kid-free minutes to get some holiday baking done!
