Last weekend we made our annual family trip to Little Rock to visit my Grandma (M&N call her Grandma Great), my aunt Brenda, my cousin Erin and her husband Corey, and their daughter Genevieve.
On Friday night we had dinner at Grandma Great's retirement center. Maya was very excited to see her!
Happy cousins!!
We had some playtime while the Daddys went to go get our pizza. Playing in the birdbath--yuck!
The kiddie table...
Grandma great with 2 of her great-grandkids!
Finally got one of all three 2nd cousins together.
On Saturday we went to a nearby park for some playtime and a picnic. The weather was beautiful and so we wanted to enjoy it!!
They had this huge rock for kids to climb on.
Even little Genevieve wanted to have a go at it! Erin was her spotter.
She is a brave little thing.....with an adorable smile!!
On top of the world!
There was also this huge rocker thing that the kids loved. So many new things to play with!
The kids also loved this big teeter totter. They needed Daddy's strong muscles to help them along.
Wheeee!
Hang on!
Saturday night we went to Erin and Corey's house for a delicious barbeque dinner. Then after the kids went to bed we had game night!! Personally one of the highlights of our visit for me. I love game night!! I'm pretty sure Brenda cleaned up in Scattergories but we weren't keeping track very well.
Brenda always invites us to stay at her house during our visit which we love so much! It is fun to be able to have some adult time while the kids are sleeping. Since she is a 1st grade teacher, she is also very good with little kids. :)
We are so happy to be able to come and visit each year and especially enjoyed going in the fall this year. Hopefully we'll try that next year instead of going to the South in the hot summer!
See you next time everyone!!!

That's so nice you guys are able to go visit your Grandma, I'm sure she loves that. Fun to see other extended family as well! Looks like you guys had a great trip!
ReplyDeleteThat is very special you take the time to visit family far away regularly. I'm sure they appreciate it more than you even know!
