Maya and Nolan started their first year of official schooling-- 3-year-old preschool! They were very excited after the nerves settled. At one of their meet-and-greets at school they read a story about a raccoon who missed his mommy while he was at school. His mom gave him a kiss on his hand and every time he was sad he would put his hand against his cheek and it was like his mom was kissing him! The kids got these kissing hands from their teacher and I kissed them at breakfast. They had mommy's kisses with them all day!
I made heart-shaped pancakes on their first day (and served them along with some raspberries and yogurt for all you health nuts out there).
They also got new backpacks this year to carry their papers. They each picked out their own and were very excited about them!
