We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We went to Bob and Gayla's house for the big day and had a small get-together with just the 6 of us. Bob and Gayla prepared a big meal and I didn't have to do much at all! The weather was beautiful too, so the kids got kick a ball around outside and build up an appetite.
One funny new habit the kids have (thanks to Gramma and Grampa) is 1-2-3 FIRE! Bob and Gayla have a gas fireplace that turns on with a switch on the wall. They taught the kids the "magic" of fire by having them yell "1-2-3 FIRE!" at the fireplace and watch it burst into flames! (See Gayla in the background? She is next to the switch) What is funny is when the kids come home and try and do it to OUR fireplace! They yell 1-2-3 FIRE at it over and over again, and I have to remind them ours is not magic. :)
We even put the kids down for naps there and enjoyed some adult game time of dominoes and Texas Hold 'Em. A very fun and relaxing day.
