Since the temperature was so cold (25 degrees yesterday and 12 degrees with a mean wind today), we got ourselves all bundled up in our warmest clothes. I got out our new sled and pulled the kids around for a minute. They were entranced with the snow!
We went out yesterday and today, so these pictures are a mix of both days.
Today, the kids loved playing on the steps after I shoveled them. Nolan sat in the snow and started scooping snow on the ground and putting it on his legs! He loved this so much that after Maya and I were freezing and wanted to go in, he refused. Not even an offer of turning on cartoons (his favorite activity in the world) would pull him away from this snow. Did I mention that it was like 12 degrees with the windchill below zero?!? Crazy boy!!!
Maya wanted her picture taken too.
After some sledding, they wanted to get out and try walking in it. It was so deep that they stumbled around a bit and Maya kept saying, "Mommy tuck!" Meaning, Mommy, I'm stuck. I gently encouraged her to lift up her feet and stomp through the snow. She insisted on holding my hand just like when she was learning to walk and the grass was tall in the backyard.
When we went out yesterday, it was still snowing. Nolan liked watching the snow fall.
Waiting for mommy to pull me!
I pulled them around in the sled as fast as I could run!
Nolan sitting in the snow again. Good thing he had waterproof pants! Can you see him in the background?
Maya being funny.
Nolan traipsing through the snow.
Maya practicing her stomping.

Looks like so much fun! My girls try to pull each other on the sled too - "try" being the operative word there. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE all these snow pictures! Isn't it crazy how they don't mind the cold at all? It was impossible getting Cole inside too. :) LOVED your birthday theme and cakes too! I want to hear more about their birthday! We are looking forward to seeing you guys Monday! Hopefully we won't have a blizzard again and have to reschedule. :)
