First Christmas celebration

The week before Christmas, we celebrated early with the Dills since they were going to San Diego to visit our mom and dad for Christmas this year. We made a yummy Dill traditional holiday feast of homemade noodles, turkey, and mashed potatoes. Delicious! Then it was present time! Darin and I got a French Press which we have used every day since then. We love it!

Maya and Nolan got some DVD's and play clay (sort of like play dough but comes with a rolling pin, mat, and various-shaped cutters)...this was their introduction to the crazy unwrapping of presents this Christmas!

We got Lana and Janae some play clay too, and some CD's that were programmed with their names in each song! Lana and Maya are listening to Lana's new CD. Aren't they a cute pair!?

Afterwards, Nolan played us a Sonata on the piano.

At home, the kids have been wanting to color and play with their play clay a lot. I get them all set up at the kitchen island and they go to town! I am happy they are getting into art a bit...it's fun to watch the creative wheels a-turning!

This is also the time that I discovered that their favorite colors are pink and yellow (Maya) and blue and red (Nolan). This was helpful in determining their birthday color scheme!
