This year, we spent Thanksgiving in Holton with Bob and Gayla (Gramma and Grampa). We were happy to be able to see Brian, Terrilyn, Sydney and Ethan for a bit before they went to Terrilyn's parent's house for their Thanksgiving celebration! The kids posed for a cute picture together in front of the fireplace. I love the smiles on all their faces...such giddiness!
Then the girls had their moment...
After a yummy Thanksgiving meal and naptime for the kids, it was playtime!!! Maya and Nolan had so much fun with Gramma and Grampa. The laughter filled the house as Gramma and Grampa chased the kids around and around.
Tee hee hee! Gotcha!!
Nolan found this football, or "tup-ba" as he calls it, in the box of toys and practiced throwing and catching it with everyone.
Gramma also had some boy and girl Pilgrim bears which were a big hit with Maya. She held and rocked them...it was neat to see her start to show her nurturing side.
Here she is giving the girl bear some kisses.
Of course, the kids love to sit at the countertop in Gramma and Grampa's bar stools. Perhaps it is sentimental, but these are the same chairs Darin sat in as a kid. It might be the last time they sit in them because the chairs are staying in Holton but Gramma and Grampa are not! You can see in the background that Gramma and Grampa have already started packing for their upcoming move to Olathe. It won't be until next spring, but everyone is getting excited!!
I couldn't pass up this opportunity to show you Maya's bear bottom. Her tights are just too cute.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were happy to share it with our family!
Later that weekend Maya found her sunglasses and wanted to put them on. As soon as she did, she started saying, "cool" and doing this funny "W" thing with her hands! I don't know where she learned it, but it is hilarious! It's like she is saying, "Whatever!"
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too!!

Oh that Maya makes me laugh! LOVE that last picture of her, and love the bear tights. SO SO cute. Nolan's pretty darn cute holding that football as well! I bet you are so excited to get some grandparents in Olathe, yay!!! I'm glad you had such a fun Thanksgiving!
