A couple of weeks ago Maya, Nolan and I met some friends at a neighborhood park. It was a lot of fun to see the kids walking through the grass, playing with some of the equipment, and running down the sidewalks! It was my first outing where there was lots of open space with 2 walkers I was happy to have some extra hands to help out. We had a blast and we all took long naps that afternoon!

Maya actually wears her sun hat sometimes. I'm still working on Nolan! It's not much help indoors, but we were trying it on before we went outside!

Although it looks like they are in prison, my little munchkins are hanging out on the deck which I blocked off from the yard to keep them safe. They LOVE going back and forth from the house to the deck and throwing their bouncy balls around. Just this week I removed my temporary blockade and we started spending more time in the grass. Since the lawn is pretty uneven, it's difficult for the kids to walk in, and therefore difficult for me to manage both by myself. But Nolan has gotten very good at walking around by himself (and doesn't mind falling down and getting back up by himself) and Maya is gaining confidence. She walks all over the backyard if I hold her hand to steady her.

One of the kids' new loves is sitting on furniture and beds. Here they are striking a pose sitting on the lawn chairs on the deck.

Cowabunga!

Can't you just picture them with a beer in their hands? Just chillin'. ha!

Another thing they both have recently found funny is sticking their tongues out. This phase comes and goes, but it was funny at lunch the other day that they were copying each other by taking turns sticking out their tongues. Hee hee!

What cute outside pictures! This summer is going to be so fun for you with both of them walking! It'll definitely make life easier to play outside...but at the same time harder! The "chillin'" picture is great! I can just imagine them in 19 years (or, to be legal, 20 years) at KState with a summer beer in that same pose! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the pics on the patio and in the patio chairs!! Can't wait for our family playdate next weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm cracking up at their "poses"!!! And the tongues! Margot has been in that phase for months! Ha.
