Last weekend Darin, Maya, Nolan and I took a trip to Dallas/Ft. Worth to visit our best friends from college. We have a plan to "vacation" together every year or 2 and so far it has worked beautifully! It started with a girls trip to Vegas in 2006 before any of us had kids. Then in 2008 we went to Colorado to Jill and Daniel's house (on the left in the picture). Jill and Daniel had baby Avery by then and Jessica and Ryan had toddler Cooper as well. I was pregnant then, so it was easy to "tote" our kids around at that point. Below is the group picture we took in 2008 in Colorado. Thanks to Jessica for posting such great pictures from our trip...many of these pictures on my blog are hers.
The first day we were there we went to a pond right behind the Boileau's house and fed the ducks. Nolan is enthusiastically pointing the ducks out to us all. Can you see Jackson and Landon in the background?
We attempted to get a picture of all the kids together. I got one on my camera of everyone looking forward but it turned out blurry! Thanks to Jessica for letting me "steal" her photos from her blog!

Here is a sweet picture I got of Avery hugging Jackson. So cute!!

We also took a trip to the park for a picnic lunch and some playtime.

And here we are in 2010 in Texas! What an awesome time we had. Vacations are very different when kids are involved, but we had so much fun getting all the kids together for the first time. We were lucky enough to be able to stay at Jessica's parents house which was huge and beautiful and accomodated all the families nicely. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Boileau!!!

I got Maya to pose in front of the Texas State flower, the Bluebonnet.

Nolan's face turned so red from the heat. Definitely my little boy!

He found out that he LOVES going down the slide...especially with Daddy to keep him safe.

We also made time to hit the pool for some relief from the heat. Maya is showing off her new swimsuit. What a doll!

While we were in Texas, we were also able to get together with some Kappa friends who live down there, along with their significant others and kids. On the left is Emily, Justin, Nikolas and Nathan and Elizabeth is next to me in front. Tony was taking the picture. Thanks Tony!

Finally we were able to get a picture with all kids looking towards the camera. What a huge feat this was ! I can't even get my TWO kids to look at the camera at the same time! :) Cooper is in back, then Avery and Maya are in the 2nd row, and in front row L to R: Jackson, Landon and Nolan.

We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends and can't wait to see them again! What a great visit we had!!
