Nolan's first haircut

I can hardly believe that the kids are already 11 months old. Sitting for their monthly pictures is too difficult, so I got this picture on the fly on December 9th. It shows them in their true form...moving with their grocery cart. Or are they fighting over it?!

On Sunday we had some wonderful company...Gramma, Grampa, Nana, Sydney and Ethan stopped by for a visit. Maya couldn't get enough of Sydney so they spent lots of quality time together. So cute! I think they even planned their outfits to match.

But today was Nolan's day. He got his first haircut! He was starting to sport a mullet in back, so we knew it was time. We went to a kids haircut store nearby and they did a great job. Nolan sat in a colorful "car" while they cut his hair, and there was a TV playing Christmas movies. I gave him his pacifier to help calm him because I thought he was going to scream during this new experience. He surprised me and did great!

I thought this was cute. To get his hair even, she made it into a mohawk. Finally, my twins had matching hairdo's! Ha ha.
Although Nolan's haircut wasn't anything drastic, he looks like a little boy now with his hair all trimmed up. Just in time for Christmas!

  1. Gretchen - they are getting so big! These pictures are great! I love that Nolan got his first haircut! David and Margot are still so bald - I wonder how old they will be when they need to get haircuts....?

  2. Oh my goodness, what a milestone! I can't believe Nolan is old enough to get his first haircut! He did such a great job! When I look back at when we did Cooper's first haircut, I realize we waited way too long. His hair was looking very shaggy and had quite a little mullet...ahhh memories!
I love that top picture of the two of them by the way!

  3. Wow! Cole STILL hasn't had a haircut. :) That looks like a fun place to go for a haircut! I might have to ask you about it in a year or so when Cole finally needs a haircut. ;) Merry Christmas to you guys! Can't wait to see you in January!
