The Dills went to California this year, so we celebrated an early Christmas with them on December 18th. They got the kids some cute outfits which they have already worn...love them! Lana and Janae liked their presents as well (we think!) and the adults had fun with their gift exchange as well. It was a great way to begin the gift giving!
Maya was especially fond of her new outfits.
Here are all 4 cousins together under the Christmas tree: Janae holding Nolan, and Lana holding Maya. All snuggled up!
Since Darin and I had planned to take the family to Holton for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Saturday, we decided to have our family Christmas on the evening of December 23rd. We opened up all of our presents and the kids had so much fun!! They were rolling around in wrapping paper and boxes, not to mention toys. All of the toys we got the kids were a hit.
This toy truck was a big hit with Nolan. He likes to watch it roll across the floor. He also likes to chew on the blocks from his shape sorter and then throw them. We have entered his throwing phase!
The biggest hit for Maya has been a Leap Frog puppy named Violet. She plays/sings songs and Maya dances to the music. It's like her new best friend because we programmed it to say her name. She loves it!
Unfortunately, about 5 minutes after we'd finished opening gifts, we got the news that the Holton Christmas was cancelled due to the snow storm! So the 4 of us stayed home on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and just relaxed at home. We are hoping to have a "make-up" Christmas next weekend sometime. I think the weather will be more cooperative then!
So, look for another Christmas post soon!

I love the family pic! You guys look great!
