Cruising and Crawling

When it rains, it pours! Along with pulling up to stand, Nolan is now cruising along furniture and other sturdy things and crawling! He still does his army crawl, but yesterday he began crawling slowly on his hands and knees. I got a great video clip of him crawling and have gotten several of him standing up. I am so amazed at how quickly he has picked all of this up! The down side of this is that he is very unhappy to be laying on his back at all. A leisurly diaper changing is a thing of the past! It's more like a wrestling match now.

Maya likes to watch Nolan and wants to do what he is doing. If he is standing at the back door looking through the glass, Maya wants to stand next to him. If he is crusing around the exersaucer, she wants to sit in it so she can face him. Since she can't pull up to stand yet, I help her balance while she is standing. Luckily, she is also content to sit and watch him sometimes too. She is making lots of sounds including babbling and puckering (which I swear is her way of "giving kisses" even though she does it around eating time). She also does a lot of laughing and has developed such a sweet personality. Below I took some 8 month pictures of her and she loved her Curious Georgette's headband. It didn't fit Maya quite the same, but it was still cute.

  3. so fun! I know Lana was cruising at around at 8 months (but from pulling up to cruising was maybe a few weeks - Nolan moved along so fast!) - can't remember when Janae did it. I think it's so fun how different they are! Thanks for sharing the fun stories & pictures!
