Winter fun!

Maya and her doll Lucy in their matching jammies.  :)
We got a couple of inches of snow and Nolan wanted to help me shovel.  He has this little shovel but it works great for him.  He even helped me shovel the Theels and the McDonald's driveways too.  What a sweetheart!
Nolan's 1st grade class takes turns bringing home a stuffed pig and journaling what they do together.  The pig then had a baby.  As you can see, they are helping him do his homework on this night.
And Nolan is reading them a book before bed.
Maya just lost her first front tooth!  The second one is almost ready to come out too!
Toothless Maya!  It would take about 7 months for those teeth to finally break through and come in!  That's a long time to not eat a sandwich, corn on the cob and anything else that you have to bite into!
The kids went to their first school skating party this winter too.  They both used these "skate mates" which really helped them get the hang of things.  They had a blast!

At the end, all the kids take off their skates and dance on the floor in their socks.  They really had fun!
We had a great time with buddies on one of our days off watching Zootopia in the theater.
Maya picked out this outfit for Valentine's Day.  Piper wanted to be in the picture too.  :)
Nolan got to choose a reward for turning in wristbands at school and he asked for a face painting.  He asked Ms. Robin to paint him as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle!
The Valentine's Day party was a hit.  Candy, crafts and fun.

Maya's was fun too, of course!

The kids and I had fun with selfies while waiting for music class to begin one day.   Love these crazy monkeys.

Maya decided to participate in the Girl Scout Power Puff derby this year.  She found this picture of a pig car and decided that was what she wanted to make!  Darin was out of town during the initial carving opportunity so I took it in with her and we got the basic shape down.  Then she and Darin glued on some weights, painted it, aded some cute parts and wheels and off we went to the derby!
These 3 girls (and Lily) participated in the derby and they all did great!
Maya's car won some races but didn't come in as one of the top 3 fastest.

She did win most creative car though!  Yay Maya!
When the weather has been warm, I took Piper to the dog park a couple of times.  She just loves it!
Another fun activity was the First Grade Play!  It was called Cows in the Kitchen.  Maya was a peasant and Nolan was the Guru.  It was adorable and the kids had a blast!

For St. Patrick's Day this year we went to our buddies, the Koshlap's, house. Green mustaches were in order!
