Summer fun!

We had lots of fun this summer!
On the Fourth of July, we went to the Lenexa parade and ran into the Dills!
In a previous post I posted pictures of the butterflies that Maya got as a gift.  In these pictures, the butterflies were ready to be released into the wild!

One of them landed on our butterfly bush for a second before flying away! What a fun gift!
This picture says a lot--the kids made special Father's Day booklets for Darin and they are sharing the books on Father's Day morning here.  So sweet!

In June, Grandad invited us to the Blue Moon Auction again.  Fun times!
Darin and I bid on a won a Nine Bark which was so beautiful!
Here we are with Grandad!

We also got together with friends so many times!  Here we are at Black Hoof Park with Adam and Ben and Parker and Paxton.  Such fun!

Maya and Nolan went to a Nature Class at Ernie Miller Nature Park again and loved it!

This day was creek walk day--always the best day of the week!

I snapped these pictures on my phone one day after Maya's softball game.  It started pouring down rain and the kids wanted to run through it.

 Silly kids!

Here is Maya after she lost her 2nd tooth over the summer.  She woke up in the morning and the tooth was in her mouth!  I'm glad she didn't swallow it! (Nolan later swallowed his front tooth at a birthday party this fall while eating pizza.)
We found a favorite summer treat place--Tad's Shaved Ice!!!!!  A perfect cold treat on a hot day!
We also went blueberry picking one cool morning with Parker and Paxton and Lana and Janae.  What great pickers!
The kids picked a bunch of berries and then they played awhile before we left.
After all that picking, we had to stop for lunch on the way home to fuel up again!
