Friends!

We have had such a fun spring!
On St. Patrick's Day we met our friends Parker and Paxton for a movie--we saw Cinderella!  The kids loved it.
A happy St. Patrick's Day! Nolan isn't wearing his glasses because they broke and were getting fixed over spring break.  So he got a break from eye patching as well.
The kids also took swimming lessons again but this time they were much more of a success.  After 3 attempts at group lessons we finally gave in and tried semi-private.  What a difference!
By the end of 8 lessons, both kids were swimming by themselves!!!  This was huge considering they were upset about putting their face in the water on lesson #1.
We continued with swimming lessons all summer and they really became excellent swimmers.  Maya can swim the entire long length of the pool and Nolan can swim the short length.  Little fish they are!  Nolan is excited about getting to do water slides now that he is a real swimmer!
The kids also had their field day at school.  Here is their Kindergarten class!!
And Maya and Nolan with their sweet teacher Ms. Skorupan.  They were sad to leave her class!!
Field day was fun competing in games with friends.

They also got to take their first field trip of the year to Kaleidescope in Crown Center.  Here is Nolan decorating a paper with glow-in-the-dark markers.
The kids made Mother's Day booklets at school with the help of their teacher and they were so sweet.   Each page said something sweet about why they loved me along with a picture.  Then at the end, they picked one special thing and had their picture taken with it.  Nolan's was "She gets me to school on time."  hahaha!!  We have had such battles getting ready on time and I have been stressing the importance of it.  Hopefully next year won't be such a struggle!
Of course with the nice weather, we have been meeting our friends out at parks a lot more.  Here is Maya with her friend Parker.  They say they are going to get married.  They have it all worked out.  Ah, young love.
And Maya reading with Paxton.  Don't they make sweet friends?!
Here is the school lap-a-thon.  Look at that girl RUN!!!  She has so much more energy since her tonsillectomy it is just unbelievable.  She has turned into a tough and fast girl--running 20 laps at the lap a thon.  No slowing her down!
And here comes Nolan!  I think he ran about the same amount of laps.  I thought they would stop and walk at one point but they never did!
And last but certainly not least, I call these the "soccer sisters".  Ava, Paxton and Maya coloring together during a soccer practice/game, while Jack, Parker and Nolan play.  What would Maya do without her soccer sisters to play with!?!  We are so blessed to have found such great friends at our school so far.  We love them so much!!!
