Sibling love!
On their actual birthday, Darin took the day off and we had a fun family day. Maya had dance in the morning, so Darin got to watch Maya in her class a little bit.
The kids both told us they really wanted to go ice skating. What an adventure! Here they are ready to skate!
We weren't sure how it would go, so we planned to skate for about an hour.
These little walkers sure helped the kids stay on their feet! Maya probably spent about 5 minutes on the ice, but Nolan was more comfortable being out of control on his skates and he shuffled along pretty well.
It was certainly something fun to try together! The place we went was really sweet--they let M & N in for free and only charged D and I $5 each since we were only there an hour.
We picked up Panera for lunch on the way home and then opened some presents!
The kids each got one another a puzzle which they were so excited about. We didn't even encourage them to hug or kiss... I guess the moment just grabbed them!
So sweet!
After a movie at home (Turbo) we went to dinner at Maya and Nolan's favorite place...Fritz's!
Where did Nolan go?
Chug-a-Chug-a- Choo Choo!
What a fun day we had! I love that we got to spend it together as a family again!
