What a fun spring break we had! Even though the weather was more winter-like than spring-like, we managed to have a wonderful spring break filled with fun activities and friends. A few days before spring break we went to the Marble Moon Company with our friends Cole and Max. Each kid picked out a tube and got to fill it with marbles.
Then we walked through the shop and sat down for a demonstration of how they make marbles by hand.
During spring break week, we also went with Cole and Max to Kaleidescope at Crown Center. It's a free art activity center put on my Hallmark where kids can draw, paint and interact with art for free! The kids were in a silly mood and I got this "deer in the headlights" picture on our way out of Kaleidescope...
And then this silly one. I was so busy helping the kids with their artwork that I didn't get any shots of the coloring, painting or decorating their art bags! It was a lot of fun.
Afterwards, we went to the Hallmark Visitor Center and walked through the exhibit. The kids enjoyed that too, though it is made for kids and adults. Toward the end they have a free machine that makes mini bows for kids to take home. Just push the button and, voila!
Enjoying the exhibit!
After that, we went to Funville, also in Crown Center. Here is President Schmanke at her desk.
Yeeehaw! Rodeo time!
8 seconds!
After that we met Gwyn, Lana and Janae and her sister-in-law (and my friend) Jessica and her daughters Alayna and Evalyn for lunch at Crown Center. They were heading to the Science Center at Union Station so we decided to meet up and visit! I also didn't get any pictures of us eating, but it was neat to see them.
Later that week we went to a puppet show in Overland Park.
See the kids in the front row? It was a Mother Goose puppet show this time. Lots of Nursery Rhymes!
Here is Maya posing with the spider from Little Miss Muffet.
We had such a great spring break! The kids also got to go to Gramma and Grampa's house for an afternoon while I had lunch with Grandad and then we went to TWO birthday parties before another snow storm hit. Whew! We will definitely be glad when the weather warms up and we can start hitting the parks for some picnics!

Oh my gosh, you all had such a fun spring break! There are so many fun indoor activities for you, guys, thank goodness since your weather has been crazy!!!
