Labor Day in Texas!

Over Labor Day weekend we went to visit our friends Jessica and Ryan and their boys Cooper and Jackson. (I know this post is SO LATE!) Darin and Ryan worked Thursday and Friday giving Jessica and I some time to hang our with our kids together.

Jessica is a great photographer so this blog has LOTS of pictures. With her camera in hand, I don't think I have ever had so many great pictures of my kids!


We started off on Friday by going to a nearby splash park with the kids. Cooper and Jackson showed Nolan the ropes and how to have fun in the water.

For some reason, Maya wasn't feelin' it this day, but she did give us a few smiles.

See what I mean about great pictures?! This one of Cooper is just adorable!














The boys had so much fun together...Nolan looks up to Cooper so much and it was fun to see him with such a good role model.




















On Saturday we set up a pool in the backyard. It had a built-in slide and I think Maya and Nolan thought they won the lottery. Guess we'll need to get one of these next year!




















Jackson was pretty psyched too! Hee hee! He makes the cutest faces for the camera.













On Saturday night, we went to a yummy burger/milkshake restaurant in this really cool part of town. While we were getting our food, Jess took these pictures of the kids. Don't you just want to frame it?!

The silliness of the kids is starting to creep out...

After we ate dinner, we went looking for some places to take pictures. This red door was an awesome backdrop for us.

We also took a walk and got some cute shots of us together.

Ryan and Jessica needed some cute shots of their brood as well. Little kids holding hands is the cutest!

Aren't they such an adorable family?!

There was a great climbing tree that the kids had fun on. This tree is the perfect friend for a 2-year-old!

This picture makes me melt--such a cute shot of Noley holding my hand.

This was Jessica's creative eye at work. Putting the kids in front and having us in the background blurred out.

Maya loved hanging out with the girls (i.e. moms) on this trip and, as you can tell, is practicing her smile!

Cooper had fun climbing the tree as well!

And then it was Nolan's turn to be silly! He kept wanting to run towards Darin instead of standing still!
