Easter 2011

Happy Easter!!! We had a beautiful Easter this year. Maya and Nolan are so much fun...we knew they would have a great time hunting for Easter eggs and opening up their Easter baskets. Here is a picture of Maya looking through her Easter basket from the Easter bunny.

One of the toys that was a huge hit was this fan/airplane. It also lit up which was so cool to Nolan!














Maya got one with a Hello Kitty which she thought was so cool since it was pink!

Nolan loved these matchbox cars we got him as well. They are still a big hit.

Then it was off to Holton for Easter dinner with the Schmanke/Gilliland families! The cousins are growing up! From left to right: Ethan (6), Sydney (11), Maya and Nolan (2) and Asher (17).















First it was time for an Easter egg hunt! Maya and Nolan were experts at this after all the practice they had at home with me. Since I usually put a jelly bean inside their eggs at home, they would shake the eggs at Nana's and say, "Nuffin in it!" Nana put dollar bills inside her eggs and they don't rattle when you shake them! :)














Of course, Maya found her favorite Schmanke cousin, Sydney!! Aren't these girls just beautiful?! She got that pink lamb as a gift from B, T, S and E and is obsessed with it now! She calls it her yammy since she can't say her L's. So cute!














Nolan got some snuggles from Aunt Terrilyn.

After dinner, we all went outside to play! It was such a beautiful day!!! Nolan is so funny....when he is being ornery or concentrating, he sticks out his jaw like this. In this picture he kept running away from me (ornery!).

There was also plenty of "girl" time on the lawn. The men were doing some outdoor projects for Nana since the weather cooperated.

More cousin picture time. I think Sydney looks like she could be a model in a magazine. So photogenic! Maya has been taking lessons from her, I think!

Gramma and Grampa always get the kids kites for Easter. This year the wind was a bit fickle, but Ethan and Asher got one of the kites up!!! Proud Ethan even took a moment to show it off and pose for a picture!!!

It was a beautiful weekend and we are so thankful to be able to celebrate it with people we love. We hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter as well.
