Today, Gramma and Grampa brought Nana from Holton to visit Maya and Nolan. It had been a couple of months since Nana has seen the twins and they have changed so much! Both kids were awake and in good moods during part of her visit, which Darin and I were thankful for. You never know these days what the kids' moods will be! Gramma and Grampa also got a chance to love on the kids too, of course!
Here Gramma is showing Nolan Nana's necklace. It has a charm for each child, grandchild, and great-grandchild she has. She just added 2 charms for Maya and Nolan to her necklace with their birthstone, the garnet, and Nolan gets the first view!
Here is Nolan sitting with Grampa. Nolan had just woke up from his nap but it happy to join our party!
Nana brought Nolan's completed crosstitch quilt with her. It is so beautiful and took Nana many, many hours to complete. She finished Maya's a few months ago, but it is just as beautiful as Nolan's! Papa picked out Nolan's pattern...he wanted to give Nana a challenge! We are so thankful to have such talent in our family. I know these quilts will be cherished by the kids when they are older.

Here is a great picture of Nolan showing off his exersaucer skills for the family. He no longer needs a towel to prop himself up...he stands and balances all by himself!

How fun they got to visit with both Gparents AND Nana! That is so special. I'm glad they were both happy during the visit, I definitely remember the days of wondering what Cooper's mood would be like! :) The kids are adorable as always!
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is AMAZING that their great-grandma made those quilts for them! What talent and such a special gift they will always remember. She must be doing great to still be doing quilting! That's fantastic! So good seeing you guys today even though it was brief. Looking forward to getting together next week!
